Reflecting

I've been doing some reflecting. Remembering where I was a year ago and I'm stunned at how far God has brought me since this little blog began. It has been a true inward journey. For those of you who may wonder if I'm still living in that bubble, I am not and I'm ok. I don't hate him anymore. My 7 year old daughter and I pray for him at bedtime. I talk to him on the phone probably once a week now and our calls usually end with "Thank you's". I'm not naive. The potential for danger is probably still there but I choose to trust God.

Definition of Blessings: To make happy, blithesome, or joyous... Definition of Counting: the study of the arrangement of objects.

As I sit here contemplating "studying", I'm suddenly struck by one thought... numbers are infinite!

Definition of Counting Your Blessings: the study of the infinite arrangements of joy!

Praise you, Father, for the peace you've given me. For the joy. That I don't wake with hands that ache from being clentched in tension. That I can walk in my house in peace. I trust you.

  1. You are truly blessed. It is difficult for someone who has not experienced this type of mental anguish to fully understand another persons suffering. It has been 7 years for me since God brought me out of torment into a safe place. I am now very happy, safe, and blessed. God bless you and your family this seacon. Know that his comfort and love surround you like a shield. (Sometimes I visilize a shield all around me made of wings) It is a comfort to me that God can take a broken and shattered life and mend it like new. Merry Christmas!

  4. We all fall short Sis. The Master's Hands can do much. Reflect, but do not harbor. Remember, but do not dwell. Return to the past in thought, but do not linger there. You have such beauty in you for praying with your daughter each night. I do the same thing for my family, because there is power in it. God can do anything. I love the definition of Counting Your Blessings!! xoxo

  8. I think this is the time of the year that we all reflect. God has given me so many blessings, too many to count. I too believe in the power of prayer. I know when I can't that He can. Hugs***Renea
