Yearns for Urns

Camping is rough stuff. Nah, I'm not really camping. We're actually staying at a 2 bedroom cottage on the beach. Ok, well, as I write this I haven't actually seen the place yet so it could be "snafu" as my friend Nancy says =) (I've pre-dated some posts for those of you who are just popping in)

Can you believe hubby said that I can't have these chippy old urns for out front? He said, "Why would want something that's falling apart?" Now he knows better than that!

  1. hmmm is "snafu" the same as "fubar" ?

Most men don't get the old and chippy ... mine just laughs.

Enjoy the beach for me too.

  13. Hehehehee, I have an urn that I just found at a thrift store and the look on my hubby's face when I brought that in the front door was priceless. He just doesn't get it. Silly guy.

  14. My husband says it simply "looks like you don't care about your things when they are all chipped, scratched and in disrepair. Make it look like it did when it was new to show you care for it!" Sometimes I agree things need a little TLC to look fresh again, but I am much more tolerant than he is of a few chips and nicks. Urns just look better when they are weathered! Who in the English countryside paints their urns?

    Happy travels!

  15. Mine said the same thing when I brought home some awesome antique finds this last week. One was a beautiful teal suitcase with white trim. You can jump to my site to see my post on that today. Also a aqua tube am radio.....
