That's her - My best girlfriend - 30 years ago doing an interpretive dance. She's my junking partner and my prayer partner.Amazing how much her likes and her beliefs formed my likes and my beliefs! Spending our Winters, living like hippies in the Keys (check out our rainbow bus!) and our Summers picking strawberries, snapping beans, hanging clothes on the line, tanning in the sun, sun, sun and riding horses bareback. Every Fall we had our Chicago shopping spree for school clothes and shoes, even though I wore a uniform. She taught me to sew, taught me to sing His praises, taught me to behave like a lady... She's the most Godly woman I know. She lives in an old painted lady with gables and wrap-arounds - filled with roses and lace. Her curtains are frilly baby dresses and vintage hankies. My childhood home... The yard I was married in... The woman I hope to become...

I have that same friend and we have remarked several times about how we think we shaped each other's personalities. Something to think about as we watch our kiddos with their own friends, huh?
