Going under the K.N.i.F.E (acronym for keyboard)

It's official - I'm going to a 3 column blog. Because I just have too much fun adding goodies to look at! However, I'm NOT doing it myself =) Sara at SadieOlive is going to help me out. She came to my rescue the other night and since I'm obviously inept, she's going to make the switch for me. So, construction begins on Monday. Please bear with me.

I was on the phone with the doctor yesterday evening when Mitch came downstairs and announced that he was going to the mall with his friends. The doctor overheard and said in gentle voice, "Let him go. A change of environment will be good for him." And I promptly hollered to Mitch, "Ok, call me when you get there." Now, I'm wondering, when did I begin to think so highly of the doctor that I would forget to ask, who the "friends" are and when he would be back??? I guess when you live and breathe advice from the medical profession for too long, the other parenting skills just fly out the window. Try explaining it to the hubby who innocently asks, "Who's Mitch with?" "Ummmm..." (insert head-scratching here).

So Mitch is doing better (still a bit under the weather but definitely better) and thus my mind reverts back to the next project. While my blog was out of commission, I took a few minutes to gaze at this little semi-circle sofa that needs a cushion (and a good cleaning). I think that I'm going to use this fabric to make the cushion. Although, you and I both know that just because I'm announcing said project, does not mean it will come to completion any time soon =)

(3)Doctors, Healers, THE Healer!! What's this new list about?

(p.s. if you'd like to add a Christmas countdown or a calendar to your blog/website, I got this one here)

  3. Hi Polly,

I am so glad your son is doing better. You know they are feeling better when they ask to go to the mall. Can't wait to see what you do to your blog(I can never stay with one look too long) LOL I understand the need for a three column though.

So glad Mitch is feeling like himself again!

Good luck on the sofa project. I'm sure it will turn out amazing! If you need motivation, just issue a sewing challenge like Julia and I did. It really pushes you to completion.

Hope you have a great weekend.

  7. How exciting!! I would love to be able to do the same thing but I have NO idea how to do that and seriously, someone would just have to do it for me.

I had a countdown on my blog but it doesn't appear to be showing anymore. Neither does the one Kari has and that has always been there. Some setting must have changed on my computer or something that I'm not realizing because why can't you see them???? I hate technical issues.

Glad to hear that Mitch is feeling well enough to 'take off' for a few hours. And thank you for the compliment on Jesse. He's a good kid!

    Love,
    Julie
