Sowing Seeds

You all never stop amazing me! Michelle and I had so much fun looking at all your posts yesterday. I love that we have such similar tastes but I love it more that we all display in our own unique way! Michelle and I were messaging back and forth until about 11p.m. "Did you see this one?" ... "One more"... "Go look at this"... And we hope that no one will be furious that we had such a difficult time deciding, we had to draw a name. I hope each of you had a chance to look at the other blogs because there were some really wonderful photographs and even more wonderful stories. One gal posted yellow roses all week. One was reconnected with a dear friend. One recalled special gifts from a loved one, long since packed away. Each and every one was amazing!! So... here it is... The name pulled out of the hat is... Farmhouse Style! (that's her grandmother's tray pictured) Definitely stop by and take a peek! Miss Farmhouse winner, please email me with your shipping address (countingyourblessings@gmail.com) so I can send you the yellow rose umbrella! Congratulations!!!

This is what happened quite unknowningly over the course of our yellow rose week... We were inspired. We remembered someone we love. Some of us thought we had nothing to show but suddenly there is was... right where it had always been. We were artistic with the smallest amount of yellow. Last night, as I lay in bed, I realized that God used a tiny, insignificant thing to weave us together and for some to even bring sweet memories of our moms, or our old friends or childhood. Imagine what He can do with lives! Again, I stand in awe.

And speaking of awesome things, I hope you'll take a minute to notice our new Lovely Award receipient of the week, One Hundred Wishes. The season of pretty packages is nearly upon us and I just love Andrea's darling ribbons. She has a lovely blog as well as a beautiful website. Please take a moment to visit her.

I just received some personalized ribbon from another company, Name Maker. 10 yards for $15!!

Look what I did with some of my ribbon. You can dowload this entire Vintage Housekeeper's Planner FREE from Brocante Home. It's not just a daily planner. It also has all 21 pages of her "Puttery Treats". I love to just sit and read through them in the evening while relaxing on the sofa.

I love to use things like personalized ribbon or other detail things to make gifts a little more fun. And apparently, so does God! Thank you, ladies, for the time and effort you put into your posts. And thank you for your stories that touched my heart! Blessings to each of you...

I will be out of town tomorrow, but if you have time, here's a Church At Home.
