Romancing the Blog

My most favorite romantic image is hanging in my kitchen. I know, it's an unsual place for a kissy picture but you know how I love my kitchen (well, I love the pink stove... the cabinets still aren't painted and I don't feel anything akin to love for them). I don't remember where I got that old picture but feel free to use it if you like.
I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion.
Have you ever read the book of Hosea? It's an incredible love story... a side-by-side comparison of a man/wife relationship and the God/us relationship. It's the story of an unfaithful wife whose husband continues to seek her out, bring her home and love her.
Let's remember on this day of expressing our love to be the faithful bride of God.

Many blessings of love to you....

  1. Polly,
The book of Hosea is one of my favorite to read of God's love. Such a telling picture of how...no matter what we do...he will come and get us...and love us no matter what! I know I need that in my life!

Love your romantic picture from your kitchen! (and your pink stove...Josh still remembers a couple of years ago when I handed him the magazine and said...look she has a pink stove! hehe...who could have known then we would become such friends?!) Hope you have a romantic day with Steve!

  6. Happy Valentines Day to you & yours! Have a fun day with the kids, and a romantic day with Steve. God is always on the frontlines waiting for us, isn't he? ready to do battle for us? Just there to love us. Hosea is one I am not too familiar with - I will have to refresh my memory! Thinking of you ~ be refreshed and renewed today in His spirit. - HUGS SIS! xoxo

  9. I love Hosea and what it means to be as the beloved of God. I really like redeeming love by Francine Rivers too. It is fiction but depicts that story so well. I love it! I love that kidding picture too! I saved it but I don't know what I will use it for. Happy Valentine's Day!

  17. Hi Polly,

I click over here every now and then just to be inspired. Everything on your blog is so beautiful.
I've seen your darling blog banner with the three cute mannequin heads and was wondering where you purchased them. I have two friends that are wanting to have a mannequin head decorating party and the shapes of the ones you have are so sweet.

I can be found at: http://gingerbreadcrumbsandcompany.blogspot.com
but my blog banner reads Brambleberry Cottage
