Vintage Inspired Handmade

It's SO cold here!
25 degrees below zero windchill - Perfect weather for staying home and playing with ribbons.

Last week when everyone was sick (yes, we are all doing better - finally.  Thank you for your prayers), I started making some stamped muslin brooches but they were kinda plain.

Until I had a little blunder with my cuffs (Thank you, Beth for being the blessing that you are!).  As it turns out, the brooch and the cuff play nicely together.  So today I'm celebrating vintage inspired handmade "accidents"!

And lest I forget to mention it, we are having a Handmade & Vintage Valentine Party over at French Cupboard next week.  You should definitely stop by and show off the pieces that you've been working on!

  3. It's so cold here, but after seeing how cold it is in your area, you have me beat! Hey Pol, it's really good to hear from you and I was wondering if you'll be coming to the Texas shows in the Spring? If so, I'd love for you to be a guest seller at the blog party. Shoot me an email if so and we'll talk, if that interests you! Have a great weekend to you both! BTW, Hope you find a tub, Theresa, Garden Antqs Vintage & Discarded Forlorn blogs

  8. Oh, this is all really cute :) :) I will admit I was really taken with the very first photo with the old thread spool serving as a base for that lovely pink ribbon :) :) :) Very nice. I have some old spools of thread from my grandmother...and I think she got some of them from her mom. :) :) so now I've got a project idea :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  10. Sweet serendipity. If you hadn't been so forthcoming in your honesty, I would never have guessed this wasn't your plan all along!
I wish I was as talented as you, but all I ever manage to make is a mess!
    Stay warm and well.
