Gathering Junk

We spent some time yesterday at my parents house. I can hardly be there without finding new (old) things that fascinate me. Mom can hunt & gather old treasures like nobody's business.

And when you're in the business of hunting & gathering treasures, I've learned somethings from her...

God provides junk!

Just when we need something chippy, faded or rusty to fill a gap at the shop, He provides. I'm learning to depend on Him even for the junk!

When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.

  2. God gives good things no doubt about it. And if junk is what we want, he smiles down and provides:>) Except it isn't really "junk" to us.
