Tuesday's Child

For the last several weeks my daughter and I have been sharing a girls night on Tuesdays. The guys are all at football practice so we have the entire place to ourselves. We eat things we shouldn't and we talk about things that are silly. One night Miah made up the sofa with special pillows and lots of little presents - just for me. Last night we shared my favorite "thinking" spot, a bag of mini-marshmallows and Webkinz cards. Oh thank you, Father, for Tuesdays!

  5. Enjoy all the time with the children that you possibly can - squeeze out moments that you thought were unsqueezable! I was a single mom when my kids were little; we would have Friday night "sleepovers" in the living room - blankets piled in the middle of the floor, M&Ms and soda or Kool-aid to drink and their favorite movies to watch. One thing that is rewarding now is to know they do the same with their families!

My daughter and I used to have a weekly Girls Night that has now turned into an About Every Other Week Night ;) Here's to enjoying every sweet moment! Ooh, I miss all that ice cream we used to eat...
