We have a place near our home that I affectionately call "down the lane". Originally, I think it was an alley but some time ago it was given over to grass & grape vines & oak trees. In the Summer the kids and I walk down the lane, buckets swinging, to pick mulberries, telling each other fantastic stories. In the Fall it's concord grapes. The Lane was calling me yesterday afternoon. If I were to let my imagination run (because I never do that, right?!), I'd say it was the tree fairies. We must have just missed them ;)
What a deliciously mysterious little path! It sounds like there are treasures to find too:>) I love paths like that, they call to me too!
ReplyDeleteYou didn't miss them! They were just hiding from you! ;)

Tree Fairies and lanes! What a fun place you live in :)
ReplyDeleteOh they were lifesize! Now naked! Those rascals...probably picking your grapes....
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this! Pretty...
ReplyDeleteAnd I had to laugh about the things that would get written on your door if it was a chalkboard door! So true! LOL! It could be a dangerous idea for all involved.
Blessings,
Melissa

I grew up with groves and long grass and flowers...and at Grandma's house in the fall...the smell of those heavy grape laden vines is a sweet memory that will never leave me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post - isn't Fall just the prettiest season? Sue
