Lawn Chairs

I was just minding my own business, looking hither and yon, when I spied her out the corner of my little eye (actually, my eyes are normal size, but my glasses back then were oh-so-chic plaid print frames about the size of drugstore readers).
PINK VELVET NEEDLEPOINT!

She and I just HAD to be roommates. And she's been one of my favorites ever since. But then yesterday I opened up a package from shopgoodwill.com (that's my secret shopping sorce so don't tell anyone) and

These roses 16x20 fell into my lap! I had forgotten about an auction that I won - love it when that happens (especially when was $14 with shipping and already paid for)!

If you would like to see more pictures of my silly chair in the front yard, they are in this flickr group

Big, big thanks to Birds of a Feather for hosting our Show & Tell Sunday this week!!

He said to them, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old. (Matt 13:52)

Sunday Note: Because the Bible says that honoring the Sabbath is sign of the covenant between God and us - forever, I take Sundays as a day of rest. To honor Him, my Sunday posts are prepared the day before and any questions or orders that come through on Sundays will be responded to on Monday. Thank you so much for visiting.

  11. Oh my good night, your chair is simply georgous!!!! I need it, I want it so much. It looks great out in the yard, but you must bring it in and it must have a special place in your home. What a great, great find. So romantic. I can see a lady dressed in a long gown wearing a hat and gloves holding in one hand a beautiful beaded bag and your parasol in the other. My favourite Flea Market find for Show and Tell Sunday for sure. Blessings!!!!

  12. Polly, I adore that pink velvet chair ~ such pretty florals on it. Wow, could I curl up there with my fav book or magazine! Love the parasol & lace you used, too. And the painting is just lovely. I looked at your Flickr pics & really am astounded at the use of the 2 doors to make an arbor! I'd really like to try that ~ was it very difficult????
