Vessels

Do you have an instigator at your home?

Here's my culprit! If you can imagine, 10 years ago I didn't have the slightest interest in tea cups or tea pots or anything of the like. Hubby and I wandered into an antique store while out of town for a wedding. I spied an old set of Johnson Bros Rose Chintz and I was hooked!

Then there was the box of my absolute favorites that mom found at a gargage sale for $8

Look at those chippy roses! Nowdays I have a mix of patterns.

And I don't like to buy things that we don't need so we use every bit of our vintage china.
Even broken pieces.

I figure even chores can be lovely, right?!

My latest purchase... these old plain vanilla bowls that are HUGE and wonderful for displaying notions or baking brownies.

Be sure to stop by and visit all the Sunday Show and Tell participants. Hugs to Analise and Cherri for hosting - thank you, thank you!

Sunday Note: Because the Bible says that honoring the Sabbath is sign of the covenant between God and us - forever, I take Sundays as a day of rest. To honor Him, my Sunday posts are prepared the day before and any questions or orders that come through on Sundays will be responded to on Monday. Thank you so much for visiting.

    Beautiful Lord, Wonderful savior
I know for sure all of my days are held in your hands
    Crafted into your perfect plans

You gently called me into your presence
Guiding me by Your Holy Spirit
Teach me dear Lord to live all of my life
    Through your eyes

I'm captured by your holy calling
Set me apart. I know you're drawing me to yourself
    lead me, Lord. I pray

Oh Take me, mold me, use me, fill me
I give my life to the potter's hand

Oh Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me
I give my life to the potter's hand

  3. What pretty china. I have decided to use all of my pretty pieces now too. If they break then so be it. No point having all the pretty pieces away in a cupboard or just on display.
Thank you for showing us your lovely china

  8. Charming china choices. ;o) I use all we have as well. Why put it away just for looks? I do though, have a complete and large set of Antique Wedgewood that's put away. It's not my favorite (I know...gasp!) and as such, rarely used.

Polly ~ I love how you incorporate scripture into your posts. Thank you for that.

  26. Hi Polly,
Thanks for stopping by my blog on Sunday. You had commented on some beautiful violet plates that I had that looked like they had black around them. Well, I didn't realize that the pictures showed the gold as black...so I did take a couple of newer pictures for you to see..they are from Austria.

Oh I just love all of your vessels...especially the Rose Chintz Tea Pot...Oh to be so fortunate enough some day to own one!

    Have a blessed day.
