Country Fair Shopping
We must have climbed 4-5 flights of limestone stairs... At each interveral pausing a moment to look over the rail at the secluded courtyards below. Reaching the top, we were still several blocks away... walking into the sun. But there was a slight breeze, breathtaking views, gingerbread cottages with bicycles parked out front, ivy dangling from the bricks... and the promise of air-conditioned internet use at the end of the walk. That is how I came to be in this 1907 library surrounded by chandeliers, solid oak shelves and the wonderful smell of old books. And why am I in the library while on a mini-vacation alone with my husband? Apart from the air-conditioning... I have to check the balance in my debit account. I found the coolest thing! I can't wait to show you!!! But first, I have to go pay for it... (I know I've shown you this photo before but I can't upload any pictures until I get home. However, it reminds me of all the old architecture here).
