Juicy Gossip

Lots of goodies to share about today... Chris Brown is giving us a chance to WIN the new Amy Butler book, Midwest Modern! Sign up at his blog. Or you can pre-order it on Amazon for $23.10. I've been buying up her fabrics for years - my favorite line was Temple Flowers, which sadly isn't in print any longer but occassionally one or two patterns will show up on ebay

(here's a tote by Baffinbags in the paisley print from that line) You know I'm an addict in this area so I've got tons of her fabrics. Amy's online shop is pricey but when you consider the time it takes to make your own tote or hat, etc. it may be worth it. And she has a 40% off sale right now (enter SALE as the code at checkout)

She also has a full line of scrapbooking papers, stickers, cut outs, etc. Even a scrapbooking bag! I don't scrapbook (are you kidding, I have a jillion journals) but I've bought some of the papers as I thought I may do a crazy quilt of paper in this HUGE frame I have. I've purchased them at Hobby Lobby but K&Company has some as well.

If these look the curtains in my sewing room, it's because they are identical to the set I have! I found them on ebay yesterday for $30!!! Can you believe it! I was so excited I nearly jumped around the house. And I really might have except it's an old house...chunks of plaster could fall at any time. =)

A pretty little box of vintage millinery flowers arrived yesterday from Michelle at Back Through Time. She always has neat stuff so it's worth visiting!

Here are two blogs that you'll definitely love strolling through! Decorated House has a little of my Old World taste along with some of the painted chippy chic things too.

And if you haven't checked out the Curious Sofa blog, you'll be swooning over the photos of her shop! She also has a website and here's an article by Home Accent Today with lots of pictures and good display tips. Have a fun Tuesday!

  1. Thanks Polly for all the fun places to visit! I keep adding these blogs to my favorites and it takes me most of the day to go thru them all now! Can you imagine if we all lived in the same town? How fun would that be, having 100's of creative, nuturing intellegent women around you?

  2. Hi Polly!! Hope you are having a good week! I haven't heard of Amy Butler over here, is she a famous designer like Cath Kidston? Love your rose curtains, I have a similar pair myself I won on Ebay! They are so 50's looking! x
