Fabric Overload

As promised, I'm weeding through all my fabric and letting some of my beloved vintage collection have a life beyond the armoire. It's a bit painful to let some of it go but it almost seems wrong to keep it and never use it. I'm sort of a, umm... collector (unless you ask my family who will say that I'm a pack rat) but I'm proud to say that I no longer have a kazillion rubbermaid containers full of fabric. I'm making progress. Over the last year, I have cut my stash down to one armoire...and one cedar chest...and a few large bags of miscellaneous remnants...and the dining room table... Ok, so I still have a lot.

So I decided to keep the red roses (1st photo) to use in the sun room. I take a lot of ebay photos in this room and I spend a lot of time in there so I wanted something that I'd enjoy. However, my theory is that I don't buy anything to sell that I wouldn't keep if it doesn't sell. So that's making my weeding process all the more difficult.

I'm listing some remnants tomorrow (2nd photo) along with several huge fabric panels. And I'm vowing to not buying any more for the next month. Or, at the very least, I'm not going to look on ebay for more lovely old curtains. Well, I'm definitely not... Oh, who am I kidding?! Well, we're having a garage sale next weekend - maybe that will help.
