I'm so excited! I'm like a school girl at her first dance recital. Today I get to attend a photography class that I've been anticipating for months. Why must cameras come with so many gizmos? And why do we subject ourselves to the more difficult DSLR cameras when there are so many good point & shoot cameras out there?
What's your camera of choice?
Have fun!

Enjoy the challenge. I'm sure you'll do well. Looking forward to seeing what you have learned. ~ Angela
ReplyDeleteHumour me kindly for a moment as I digress from your 'question dujour', will you darling?..,..,
ReplyDeleteI can't remember when I've been so thoroughly tickled and delighted with a fellow bloggers blog banner design!~(Don't get me wrong, I regularly admire and delight in the creativity out there in blog land)!..,
I just gasped and said,"oh my" aloud!! It's utterly charming and beautiful!.., So me, so what I love!.., In fact if you visit my blog and scroll down the page you will see my original art and see why I adore the look you've so artistically achieved;(though come to think of it, it may be one blog page ago.., I'm not sure)..,
Now back to your question, my hubby and I have just aquired a Pentax K20D camera and whew, we will have to take lessons, it seems so complicated compared to the less expensive point and click varieties! Yet I aready enjoy the better quality pictures though, so I'm delighting in this camera, (and certainly not complaining)!..,
What I love about one of it's special features is the anti- shaking device within the camera; though with some aperature speeds and settings you appparently cannot use that feature and therefore in that instance would require a tripod..,
I also wanted to warmly invite you to visit 'my little corner of the blog world' to enjoy a virtual afternoon tea, actually, two tea's.~ Every Tuesday and Wednesday, tea is served at two of my blogs and I'd love to get to know you a little better and to have you visit!!..,

I just have a point and shoot variety. My daughter Hope has the more professional camera a Nikon, I believe... she may have to correct me on that... but I definitely want a better camera. Hav fun at your class and pleasssssse send some tips this way.

I know what you mean. I have a Nikon D50 SLR, and I always just use the automatic mode. Basically, it has become my own point and shoot camera. I don't have the time to really learn how to work all it's functions. Wish I did, though.

Yay for you! I'm in love with photography and have been for years, but am just now taking photo classes to get my digital photo certifications. Always so much to learn - but so much fun! I shoot with Canon - Rebel & EOS3 SLRs and a D20 DSLR.
ReplyDeleteHave a blast!
