Do you ever get struck with inspiration in the middle of the night? I had the pleasure of staying up late last night after being hit with the inspiration stick. Isn't it fun to get lost in your imagination when there are creative possibilities overflowing?! And the next morning when you can't put two sentences together due to burning the candle at both ends, do your dreamy projects still seem dreamy? I had to hang it up early today just to recover! ...and I didn't get one project completed either! Have you ever had an inspiration hangover?
I'm hungover 7 days a week...I guess I'm a create-aholic.
ReplyDeleteclose to being a blog-aholic, too
ReplyDeleteI've had dreams about bloging and cooking lately. Sure beats flying monkeys! I know what you mean. Try being a relucatant government employee working on spreadsheets when youare constantly daydreaming of being creative! HELP!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I love it when YOU have an inspiration hangover, because that means EYE~CANDY abounds!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! (I'm laughing WITH you)
ReplyDeleteEvery morning my husband does a b-line just because I'm waking up saying "oh man...I had THE BEST idea last night" and before I can finish "oh man..." he's off to the coffee maker :)
I can't keep the five kids names straight half the time-
hee hee
LOL! I've gotten up at 3AM when inspiration suddenly woke me UP and I had to go and write, LOL!
ReplyDeleteRecently that's all I've been doing. Since I've created my new blog, my mind is buzzing with thoughts and ideas.
ReplyDeleteSome nights just as I am about to get to sleep I think of something, then some time later, look at the clock and realize that it is 2am and I am still awake... When it is time to get up, I get that inspiration hangover feeling you talk about...

ReplyDeleteHi, again, Polly,
ReplyDeleteThat happens to me all the time...the body is tired, but the mind (filled with so many ideas) just won't shut down.
By the way, could you add me to your Keep&Share list?
Thanks, Susan

Do I ever! When I get inspiration late at night...I just take a minute to jot it down so I won't forget. Can't tell you how many times I didn't write it down, only to beat myself up the next day trying to remember.

And yes, I do have creative 'nights' like that. =0))
Oh I choose carefully what I think of as I'm drifting off to sleep...if I'm in creative mode, I do that all night waking up several times with my mind racing with ideas! I so understand.

Since the birth of Dear Bebe, I really haven't had the time or energy to be inspired! I miss that! Maybe this spring I can clear the cobwebs in my brain...
