Rosebucket

This crazy rose bush! I put it in a bucket at the very start of Spring because it just wasn't quite warm enough for it to go in the ground yet. It's blooming like crazy! In a bucket - with no drainage!! These are the very reasons that roses have such a difficult reputation. Had I followed the instructions that I was given, surely it would have died. When I asked my father-in-law, who is an avid flower gardener, for some advice as to where I should plant it in the yard now so that it will keep blooming... He said, "Dig a bigger hole and bury the whole bucket!"
