Old Fashioned

It's such a gorgeous day that the kids have been outside all morning.
It's surprising how "old fashioned" fun is still some of the best fun!!
And I thought you might like a break from looking at our displays and event photos.

No matter where we are on the weekend, home is still my favorite place to be.  And these are still my favorite artists.

Only God's beautiful displays could inspire this kind of creativity!

  1. Old fashioned IS better! I love taking my grandkids out, like I did my children, and playing wiffle ball, blowing bubbles, drawing with sidewalk chalk, hunting fire flies at night, looking at the stars and watching the birds. My 4-year old grandson even likes to use the binoculars and watch for his favorite birds to come to the feeders! So much more fun than being plugged in all the time. OH, I saw an ice cream truck yesterday and I was downright giddy! LOL! Hugs, Leena

  2. I will have to tell my kids about the body marking thing with water. Fun idea! They could play CSI :)

  4. I loved seeing this. I am reminded of how we would gather and play with the water hose, jump rope, play hopscotch and even gather enough kids to play a game of pitch ball.

God provides us with the inspiration and we go from there. All is good in the good old summer time.

  5. I agree, old fashioned is better and it's good to see kids outside playing and getting exercise. If I had kids they'd be outside too. It's good for kids to take time a way from video games, they gotta get out and have fun. Especially now that it's summer. Good for you, for encouraging that.

I'm Sarah, I'm a new follower. I really admire your layout. I love the graphic at the top.

  6. Kids need to be spending more time outside. With all the cell phones and video games out there. Kids just spend way to much time inside and it's not healthy.
