WHATNOT - miscellaneous rarity, something unusual -- perhaps worthy of collecting
We hit a flea market on Sunday afternoon and I found a few of these large old Mason jars ~ Perfect for Whatnots!

    I love canning jars & use them for a lot of crafting things as well as in the kitchen. Blue/green are the best!

    I agree, honey, perfect whatnot jars. I have several around to hold nails, screws, picture hangers, etc. If I've got to have them around anyway, why not have them in gorgeous containers. I paint the lids pink and decoupage flowers on them. Works quite well actually.

    Love the jars - I got some just like them this past summer at a garage sale for .25 cents each!!!
    Great idea of how to dress my empty ones up!

    Don't you just love these jars? I have a couple of them, but alas, too many whatnots. The pink and teal in the photo is really a pretty combination too!
