Did you know that if you take the ugly sheath off these dressmaker forms, they have wonderfully rustic "skin"?!
She only put up a fuss when I couldn't get the fabric away from her "birthmarks"
Despite a little remaining fuzz in her armpits, Miss Sally Stitch has been stripped of all her frippery. Geesshh, I don't know why husbands can't see how inspiring these old mannequins are!
I just love her with the fabric removed!!! Who knew there was such goodness underneath it all? xxoo, Dawn
ReplyDeletePolly, Honey, I think you've lost it! LOL! Actually, I have to agree that Sally actually is more interesting "bare-skinned".
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sher
She is just beautiful!
ReplyDelete*giggle*
ReplyDeleteI'm a new reader and I just love reading all the cool things you come up with and see potential in.
:)
Wow!! Oh my, she is even more gorgeous without her green coat on. I love what you did, and would have done the very same thing. I love the Shawl draped across her - Simple and oh so Tattered Chic!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative and very funny!! I love that scarf too!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh well Polly I like her but I bet you could really dress her up cool with an old vintage lace dress(:) hugs, Patty
ReplyDeleteI covered mine in burlap. I'm thinking of another thing to do with her? Smiles Denise
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Polly!

She's absolutely wonderful! I would have never guessed it either. These men just don't get a lot of things do they. LOL! Oh well at least we women understand each other.
ReplyDeleteCathy :)
I absolutely LOVE your free banners. Thank you for sharing them with us!
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Judy
How gorgeous is she!!In the raw, so confident, and so poised! I gave up years ago trying to convince my husband that what I do is GOOD! Collecting junk and mannequins make life worth living!

Oh Polly, I love your blog! So sweet and peaceful! Loving my December PORCH magazine! Heaven! I even had The Vintage Housewife ( a daer friend) sign her page with her PINK trailer! Have a wonderful week!

Have a great weekend...it's almost here.

Hi Polly,
ReplyDeleteThere's something very poetic about Miss Sally, I like her. Hairy armpits and all :)
