We're getting ready to crack the books around here! Hubby and I interviewed with a different homeschool co-op last night. It was a necessary formality, even though we "came highly recommended" - they said. What an amazing miracle! "Hallowed be Thy name" - the Lord's Prayer says... I first realize what came with a name when I left my parents house at 19. When I ran into someone at the grocery store or the mall, I was recognized as Don & Kay's daughter. People would say, "Your parents are so wonderful... they took me in when I had no where to go..." I had a good reputation by association. When I got pregnant, married someone with a darker reputation, I started to be known more by the behavior of my young husband and his partying friends. After the divorce, I couldn't deny that my OWN behavior had been pretty dark as well. Making new friends and overcoming a reputation is like walking up a slippery slide. Funny how the slippery slope wasn't so difficult on the ride down. After I met my current husband and he gave me his name, my credit was repaired, my family name was good again. I worked hard but there wasn't any way to change the name I was known by until I was given a new name. What an amazing miracle that now 11 years later, I have come "highly recommended"!
213) That God restores... What's this list about?)
...he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
AMEN!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been there!!!
