Shutterbug

Well right off I need to name the four people to pass along the name game to (since I forgot yesterday)... I hereby dub each of you with a middle name Pink Paint & Roses, Nunnies Attic, Esther Sunday and My Bella Colle (if you scroll down to Saturday's entry you can read all about it). Speaking of Pink Paint & Roses... Isn't that chair scrumptious!

Since we have a long weekend I took some time yesterday to do a few things that I've been wanting to do. First, I added the Lovely Award (off to the left). I've been thinking about it for a few weeks but I'm not nearly as computer literate as it may appear and it all had to be done in html. (By the way, A juggling Mum was helpful with some blogging basics if you should be in need.) I hope to have someone new in our Lovely Award spot every week or so. I don't have any set qualifications but it's my intent to draw special attention to the blogs and websites of people who create lovely things, be it through sewing, crafting, decorating or cooking. And I made some new pillows for the living room! It still needs 2 or 3 more but at least I got them started.

It was so beautiful outside that I had to get a few pictures! Sorry this one's a bit blurred but she's a tom-boy thru and thru so I was lucky to even get her into a decent outfit!

I found this old wood shutter curbside last week. I decided that it works perfectly for pictures and paperwork. I took this photo before I had hung much on it but I've discovered that bent paperclips work just fine in place of S hooks and they're cheaper too.
