Since we have a long weekend I took some time yesterday to do a few things that I've been wanting to do. First, I added the Lovely Award (off to the left). I've been thinking about it for a few weeks but I'm not nearly as computer literate as it may appear and it all had to be done in html. (By the way, A juggling Mum was helpful with some blogging basics if you should be in need.) I hope to have someone new in our Lovely Award spot every week or so. I don't have any set qualifications but it's my intent to draw special attention to the blogs and websites of people who create lovely things, be it through sewing, crafting, decorating or cooking. If you would like to nominate someone, please feel free to send me an email (countingyourblessings@gmail.com)
And I made some new pillows for the living room! It still needs 2 or 3 more but at least I got them started.
I found this old wood shutter curbside last week. I decided that it works perfectly for pictures and paperwork. I took this photo before I had hung much on it but I've discovered that bent paperclips work just fine in place of S hooks and they're cheaper too.
Michelle sent me a picture of her garden chairs - they actually sit front and center in her store window. Michelle is starting her own blog so please stop by and visit all her unbelievable goodies!
76) Long Weekends!
78) His overflowing JOY
Polly, I enjoy your blog so much! I love the pillows you made and the picture of your daughter is adorable! I hope you have a great weekend. I picked up the new romantic homes and came across your stove picture again:>)
ReplyDeleteDitto!! Those cushions are fabulous-especially the pom-pom trim!!! And what a lovely photo of your daughter!!! You always post such lovely things!
ReplyDeleteDearest Polly - thanks for including me in the middle name game. I don't have a middle name, so I am going to have to give this some thought! Gosh, love the pics today too. The pillow are wonderful and you were so lucky to find that shutter! Great use of it... your daughter is very cute! I also have a tomboy! She has ZERO interest in crafting etc. She is an avid softball player and is a fast ball pitcher. Very athletic. It is her passion and I so happy she has one. Love, Esther
ReplyDeleteWell, Esther, aren't you lucky! You get to pick ANY NAME YOU WANT! I would recommend a name without a "Y" or "X" =)
ReplyDeleteMiss Kathleen and Miss Sophie - I humbly blush. Blessings to you.. Polly
Polly I can't stand it. Your finds are great. Thank you for including me in the name game. There are only 3 letters in my middle name but that doesn't make it any easier, LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks Polly for the link to my new blog and all your help!!

ReplyDeleteThat shutter is wonderful!

Your pillows are fab... what a clever use for a shutter!
ReplyDeleteHi Polly, I can always count on your blogs to provide me with some wonderful new information, a few giggles, lovely pictures and new links to fun blogs. Thanks so much! Love the fabric on your new pillows and you can never go wrong with a little pom pom fringe I always say.
