Well right off I need to name the four people to pass along the name game to (since I forgot yesterday)... I hereby dub each of you with a middle name Pink Paint & Roses, Nunnies Attic, Esther Sunday and My Bella Colle (if you scroll down to Saturday's entry you can read all about it). Speaking of Pink Paint & Roses... Isn't that chair scrumptious!

Since we have a long weekend I took some time yesterday to do a few things that I've been wanting to do. First, I added the Lovely Award (off to the left). I've been thinking about it for a few weeks but I'm not nearly as computer literate as it may appear and it all had to be done in html. (By the way, A juggling Mum was helpful with some blogging basics if you should be in need.) I hope to have someone new in our Lovely Award spot every week or so. I don't have any set qualifications but it's my intent to draw special attention to the blogs and websites of people who create lovely things, be it through sewing, crafting, decorating or cooking. If you would like to nominate someone, please feel free to send me an email (countingyourblessings@gmail.com)

And I made some new pillows for the living room! It still needs 2 or 3 more but at least I got them started.

It was so beautiful outside that I had to get a few pictures! Sorry this one's a bit blurred but she's a tom-boy thru and thru so I was lucky to even get her into a decent outfit!

I found this old wood shutter curbside last week. I decided that it works perfectly for pictures and paperwork. I took this photo before I had hung much on it but I've discovered that bent paperclips work just fine in place of S hooks and they're cheaper too.

Michelle sent me a picture of her garden chairs - they actually sit front and center in her store window. Michelle is starting her own blog so please stop by and visit all her unbelievable goodies!

76) Long Weekends!
77) That Summer is taking it's time leaving.

  3. Dearest Polly - thanks for including me in the middle name game. I don't have a middle name, so I am going to have to give this some thought! Gosh, love the pics today too. The pillow are wonderful and you were so lucky to find that shutter! Great use of it... your daughter is very cute! I also have a tomboy! She has ZERO interest in crafting etc. She is an avid softball player and is a fast ball pitcher. Very athletic. It is her passion and I so happy she has one. Love, Esther

  4. Well, Esther, aren't you lucky! You get to pick ANY NAME YOU WANT! I would recommend a name without a "Y" or "X" =)

Miss Kathleen and Miss Sophie - I humbly blush. Blessings to you.. Polly

  5. Polly I can't stand it. Your finds are great. Thank you for including me in the name game. There are only 3 letters in my middle name but that doesn't make it any easier, LOL!

  9. Polly, what a wonderful thing to do (the award spot)~ I also like your Ebay auction banner.

I love the pom-pom trim on your pillows. The trim always make pillows just better somehow.

Your daughter is adorable! And what a wonderful idea with the shutters! You always amaze me....
