Between the spice potpourri and the chocolate candles, I want to eat all day! The pumpkins are beaded so they are a little shimmery. The leaves... actually a fabric from Wal-Mart. It's sheer with metallic leaves that look gold or brown or orange depending on how the light hits them. Just picked it up this morning.
Have you done this? Old jar, potpourri and a short string of white lights... when it warms up, it smells soooo yummy. I know it's not a new crafty thing but, of course, the oldies really are the goodies. Rose hips at Christmas time are amazing like this!
My flea market bust has become Lady Autumn, at least for now =) I love chunky old lace! These are great little candies. We have a World Market store here that sells them but I think they're a little pricy. However, I keep the labels for projects, so I guess it's worth the $3.99 per box.
Well, it's a quiet day here and I guess my blog today reflects my relaxed state of mind -hopefully it wasn't too dull for you. =) Have a wonderful Autumn afternoon...
The vingettes are lovely Polly and for the price you get the double satisfaction of being stylish and sensible!
ReplyDeleteLady Autumn looks soooo elegant:)

Yes I remember those jars of potpourri and lights...always a welcome sight! And so cheap to do :)
ReplyDeleteI love those candy box labels!!!
Thanks for the eye candy, yet again! Love, Esther
ReplyDeleteThose soaps look yummy! i love the labels!
ReplyDeleteLove your vingettes Polly, that fabric is so pretty! It's funny that you have those little mint boxes. I just saw those at World Market the other day and almost bought them, but I thought they were too pricey too. I just referenced that same store in my post today :) I love the lights in the jar with the potpourri. It's new to me!

You find such neat things. Love the potpourri/Christmas light idea. It is an oldie, but worth ressurecting!
ReplyDeleteI must say that I was recognizing a few of your finds having just been to World Market and recently, I picked up some cupcake gift bags at our local dollar store. I think there were 2 paired together for a dollar. I also splurged today on a tall pedestal jar with thick glass. I intend to feature it's possibilities on my blog. We'll see...
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment. It looks like you caught the true gist of my Norman post. I couldn't help but think of how much times have changed– good being called evil and evil being termed as good.
Blessings to YOU,
KJ
I used to have a World Market in CO but not here in WA!! Everything is so pretty!

Polly,
ReplyDeleteI love everything! And for only spending $31 you certainly got your money's worth. To be honest, I have seen those jars a hundred times in pictures but everyone always says the same thing. "I know this is an old one but..." No one ever says what they do with the cord. Do you put it through the bottom somehow cutting out a circle. How do you keep the lights lit??
Polly, I want to respond to your question earlier. But, it really can be long. If you don't mind, I think that rather than taking up all the room in your comment section, I could just send you an email.
Love,
Julie
