Cherubs

I've got a problem of angelic proportions! What is it about cherubs? I just can't seem to pass one by. The more tattered & chippy the better! It all started a few years ago when my husband and I decided to move from suburbia to an old farm house in a historic, however questionable, side of town. The city officials have since begun to offer great incentives for homeowners and businesses for improvements to mid-town, downtown and the North End Commons, so it's now a beautiful area but at the time we were buying here, there was some rif-raf. My husband and I both felt such peace about it after realizing that God had set on each of our hearts a particular verse: Psalms 91:9-11...
9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge [1]—10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,no plague come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning youto guard you in all your ways.
This pink sweetie holding the bird is on Ebay right now but something in my heart breaks each time I have to let one go...
And this photo was one of the best old cherubs I've ever seen! It sold a few months ago but I love pulling out my digital copy just to drool over!
Even the paper mache type are ok by me. I like this one because he's a bluish-green color.
And though I haven't added to my list of blessings every single day, I have been aware of the blessings and full of His presence...
56) The scent of crab apples still on the tree
57) Pitching balls for my son in a shaddy yard
58) A concert of birdies resting somewhere above

  1. Love that cherub in the birdbath! There is something special about them, I have a few, mostly in my garden.

    Have a lovely day!
